Here's a simple recipe to make Paneer Tikka

Paneer Tikka is a popular Indian dish made with marinated cubes of paneer (Indian cottage cheese) and vegetables, grilled or baked to perfection. Here's a simple recipe to make Paneer Tikka

Ingredients

- 250 grams of paneer, cut into cubes
- 1 bell pepper (capsicum), diced into squares
- 1 onion, diced into squares
- 2 tablespoons of yogurt (curd)
- 1 tablespoon of ginger-garlic paste
- 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon of red chili powder
- 1 teaspoon of cumin powder
- 1 teaspoon of coriander powder
- 1/2 teaspoon of turmeric powder
- 1/2 teaspoon of garam masala powder
- Salt to taste
- 2 tablespoons of oil
- Skewers (if grilling)

Instructions

1. Marinating the Paneer
    - In a mixing bowl, combine yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, lemon juice, red chili powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, garam masala powder, and salt.
    - Mix well to form a smooth marinade.
    - Add paneer cubes to the marinade and gently coat them. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes. You can also marinate it overnight in the refrigerator for better flavor.

2. Preparing the Vegetables
    - Cut the bell pepper and onion into squares.
    - If you're using wooden skewers, soak them in water for about 30 minutes to prevent burning.

3. Assembling the Paneer Tikka
    - Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F) or heat your grill to medium-high heat.
    - Thread the marinated paneer cubes, bell pepper pieces, and onion pieces onto skewers alternately.

4. Cooking the Paneer Tikka
    - If baking, place the skewers on a baking tray lined with aluminum foil and brush them with oil.
Bake for about 15-20 minutes, turning once halfway through, until the paneer and vegetables are slightly browned and cooked through.
    - If grilling, grease the grill grates and place the skewers on the grill. Cook for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally until the paneer and vegetables are charred and cooked.

5. Serving
    - Once cooked, remove the skewers from the oven or grill.
    - Serve hot Paneer Tikka with mint chutney, onion slices, and lemon wedges.

Enjoy your homemade Paneer Tikka!
