Here's a basic recipe to guide you through the process Ingredients

Making a Margherita pizza is quite simple and requires just a few key ingredients. Here's a basic recipe to guide you through the process Ingredients:

- 1 pizza dough (you can make your own or buy pre-made dough)

- 1/2 cup of tomato sauce (you can use canned tomato sauce or make your own)

- 8 ounces of fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced

-Fresh basil leaves

Olive oil

-Salt

- Optional: grated Parmesan cheese for topping Instructions:

1. Preheat Your Oven:

Preheat your oven to the highest temperature it can reach. Usually, this is around 500°F (260°C) or higher. If you have a pizza stone, place it in the oven while preheating.

2. Prepare the Dough:

Roll out your pizza dough on a floured surface until it's about 12 inches (30 cm) in diameter. If you prefer a thinner crust, you can stretch it out more.

3. Prepare the Pizza:

Place the rolled-out dough on a baking sheet or pizza peel that's been lightly dusted with flour or cornmeal to prevent sticking. Brush the dough with a little olive oil and sprinkle a pinch of salt over it.

4. Add the Sauce:

Spread the tomato sauce evenly over the pizza dough, leaving a small border around the edges for the crust.

5. Add the Cheese:

Arrange the slices of fresh mozzarella cheese evenly over the sauce. Make sure the cheese covers most of the pizza.

6. Add Basil Leaves:

Tear fresh basil leaves and scatter them over the pizza. You can use as much or as little basil as you like, depending on your preference.

7. Bake the Pizza:

Carefully transfer the pizza to the preheated oven. If you're using a pizza stone, slide the pizza onto the stone using a pizza peel. Bake for about 8-12 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly and slightly browned.

8. Serve:

Once the pizza is done, remove it from the oven and let it cool for a minute or two before slicing. Optionally, you can sprinkle some grated Parmesan cheese over the top before serving.
