How can make Fast Food Chow Mein Recipe"
200g of Chow Mein noodles (you can find them in Asian grocery stores)
2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
2 cloves of garlic, minced
1 small onion, thinly sliced
1 bell pepper, thinly sliced
1 carrot, julienned
1 cup of cabbage, thinly sliced
2 tablespoons of soy sauce
1 tablespoon of oyster sauce
1 teaspoon of sesame oil
Salt and pepper to taste
Optional: protein of your choice (sliced chicken, beef, shrimp, tofu, etc.)
Cook the Chow Mein noodles according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
In a large skillet or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
Add the minced garlic and sliced onion to the skillet. Stir-fry for about 1-2 minutes until the onion becomes translucent and the garlic is fragrant.
If you're using a protein like chicken, beef, shrimp, or tofu, add it to the skillet now and cook until it's fully cooked through.
Add the sliced bell pepper, julienned carrot, and sliced cabbage to the skillet. Stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes until the vegetables are slightly tender but still crisp.
In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sesame oil.
Add the cooked Chow Mein noodles to the skillet along with the sauce mixture. Toss everything together until the noodles and vegetables are well coated with the sauce. Stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes until everything is heated through.
Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper if needed.
Once everything is cooked and seasoned to your liking, remove the skillet from the heat.
Serve the Chow Mein hot, optionally garnished with sliced green onions or sesame seeds.
Enjoy your homemade Chow Mein!
